Opera Bus travel times: 18.00 | clock – 21.00 | clock

Within the context of celebrations for European Music Day, the Greek National Opera’s Opera Bus will be traveling the streets of central Athens, as well as making stops at municipalities around the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (Nea Smyrni, Paleo Faliro, Kallithea and Moschato), in a long musical ride featuring acclaimed Greek opera singers.

Starting at 18.00 at the Olympia Theatre on Academias Street, the Opera Bus will be making stops at the following locations: Syntagma Square (in front of the Public multimedia store), Dionysiou Areopagitou (Temple of Olympian Zeus), Nea Smyrni Park (Efesou & Eleftheriou Venizelou), Nea Smyrni Square (Eleftheriou Venizelou), Panagitsa Square in Paleo Faliro (Achilleos Avenue), Flisvos Square (Poseidonos Avenue, Paleo Faliro), Metamorfoseos Square (Str. Makriyianni & Metamorfoseos, Moschato), Kyprou Square (Sivitanidou, Kallithea), Davaki Square (Venizelou & Davaki, Kallithea), Asomaton Square (Thiseio train station) and, finally, Monastiraki Square (Ermou & Athinas).

Famous arias and duets from the international opera repertory will be interpreted by sopranos Elena Kelesidi, Cellia Costea, Maria Mitsopoulou and Despina Skarlatou, mezzo-soprano Lydia Angelopoulou, tenors Yiannis Christopoulos and Dimitris Paksoglou, and baritone Haris Andrianos.
