A tribute to Italian vocal music of the 19th and early 20th centuries through the multiplicity of its facets; from salon romances to chamber vocal music and from some of the most beloved arias of the operatic repertoire to Neapolitan song. A concert that will feature music from different genres but with a common denominator: the lyricism and vocal nobility of Italian melody. Famous arias by the great Italian opera composers are juxtaposed with important pages from the vocal chamber music repertoire and Italian folk song, highlighting the common textual and compositional elements that link the different styles.
