Russian mezzo-soprano, she studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Sibelius Academy Helsinki. She regularly appears at the major opera stages worldwide, such as the Metropolitan Opera New York, La Scala in Milan, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), Paris Opera, State Operas in Vienna, Munich and Berlin, Teatro Real in Madrid, as well as at the Bayreuth festival. A recent highlight of her career was her highly acclaimed debut as Kundry (Parsifal) in Vienna. One of her most important roles is Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde), but her wide repertoire also includes Mère Marie (Dia- logues des Carmélites), Fricka (Die Walküre), Waltraute (Götterdämmerung), Eboli (Don Carlos), Amneris (Aida), Adalgisa (Norma), Judith (Bluebeard’s Castle), Venus (Tannhäuser), Marguerite (La Damnation de Faust), Ortrud (Lohengrin) and Foreign Princess (Rusalka), to name only a few. She gives concerts and works regularly with renowned orchestras and conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, Kent Nagano, Semion Bychkov, Philippe Jordan and Nathalie Stutzmann.
