Nina Naï

Nina Naï is a drag performer and baritone. The person behind the “curtain” is Georgios Iatrou, an operatic baritone. Georgios has sung important roles of the operatic repertoire such as Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Valentin (Faust), Marcello (La bohème) as well as the title roles in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Orff's Prometheus in opera houses in Cologne, Athens, Dublin, Avignon, Toronto, Essen, Dortmund, Bonn and has worked with directors such as Graham Vick, Laurent Pelly, Lotte de Beer and Dietrich Hilsdorf. In 2018, Nina began performing. Her project Drauma won the international interdisciplinary competition Goodmesh Concours. In the summer of 2021, she sang the world’s first drag art song recital in Bayreuth (Germany). In 2022, Nina made her theatre debut with the company bijoux de kant. She is also the creator of the online Drag & Opera Festival. The aim of Nina is to merge worlds whose meeting seems impossible, such as lyric singing and drag performance. Nina co-created the Haus of Karma, a drag family based in Thessaloniki.
