Dionyssis Melogiannidis

Greek tenor, he was born in Thessaloniki. He studied singing at the Athens Conservatory with Hara Savino and graduated with diploma with honours in 2017. During 2012/2016 he participated as an additional chorus member in productions of the Greek National Opera at the Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall and at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. In 2015 he participated as a soloist at Philippos Tsalahouris’ Julius Caesar (Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall), while during 2017/2018 he sang at the Greek National Opera the roles of Parpignol (La bohème) and Benvolio (Roméo et Juliette). In 2018 he also sang Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Patras Municipal and Regional Theatre) and Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi, Aegean Festival). Last August he starred as Sacco in Anton Coppola’s contemporary opera Sacco and Vanzetti (world premiere, Municipal Theatre, Città della Pieve, Italy).
