Fotis Nikolaou

A graduate of the Greek National School of Dance, he continued his studies in New York. He founded the X-it Dance Theatre, with which he presented his work at festivals in Greece and abroad. He received the Dance Award of the Cyprus Theatre Organization for the work Electra and Orestes, the Trial. For the Black Box Dance Company in Denmark he credits movement for 7even (nomination for the “Årets Reumert 2016” award). Furthermore, he choreographed Elektra (Göteborg Opera, Sweden) and Salome (Malmö Opera, Sweden), as well as Orfeo ed Euridice (dir. Stephen Langridge), Lonely Room and Carmen for the Greek National Opera. He was a member of the creative team and choreographer of the Olympic Games, Athens 2004. He has cooperated with such directors as Thanassis Georgiou, Michael Marmarinos, Stamatis Fasoulis,Tassos Bantis, Aspa Tobouli, Yannis Kakleas, George Armenis, Stephanos Kotsikos, Hanan Snir, etc. In collaboration with Balich Worldwide Shows and the Vatican Museum,he choreographed the project “Michelangelo and the secrets of the Sistine Chapel”.
