Dimitris Tiliakos

Greek baritone, he studied in Athens with Kostas Paskalis and at the University of Music and Performing Arts (Munich), with Daphne Evangelatos, Donald Sulzen (Maria Callas scholarship) and Stamos Vogiatzis. He won the Willi Domgraf-Fassbaender Competition in Munich, where he made his debut as Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) at Prinzregententheater. He has appeared in major scenes worldwide such as Opéra national de Paris, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), Teatro La Fenice (Venice), Metropolitan Opera (New York), Bolshoi Theatre, Dresden State Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Opera Narodowa (Warsaw), La Monnaie (Brussels), Spoleto Festival as well as in Tokyo, Monte Carlo, Madrid, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Zurich, Hamburg, Cologne, Nice, São Paulo and Moscow. He has performed numerous leading roles in operas of Verdi, Gluck, Mozart, Bellini, Puccini, Wagner, Rachmaninoff and works under prestigious conductors and directors. He has recorded, among others, Dido and Aeneas, Schubert’s Winterreise, Macbeth, Rachmaninoff’s Francesca da Rimini and Don Giovanni.
