NICHOLAS STEFANOU

Greek tenor, he studied voice with tenor George Zervanos and opera acting at the Amphi-Theatre of Spyros Evangelatos. He began his professional career as a singer in Notis Mavroudis’ On the Bank of My Heart. He has sung leading roles in such operas as Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Così fan tutte, L’occasione fa il ladro, Il matrimonio segreto, La Cenerentola, Lo speziale, La finta giardiniera, Alcina, Don Giovanni, Die Zauberflöte, Norma, Aida and Carmen. His repertoire also includes works of religious music such as Mozart’s Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat, Luigi Boccherini’s Stabat Mater, works by Greek composers (Dimitris Marangopoulos, Alkis Baltas, Yannis Drossitis, Babis Kanas, Joseph Papadatos, etc), Greek and foreign operettas (The Godson, Christina, The Apaches of Athens, The Cretan Girl, La Vie parisienne, Die lustige Witwe, Die Fledermaus, etc).
