The opera is directed by the acclaimed Argentinean director Hugo de Ana. The story of the tragic love affair between the 15-year-old geisha Cio-Cio San and B. F. Pinkerton, an officer of the American Navy, unfolds on the stage in a grand production with impressive sets and a cast of internationally renowned artists that includes a plethora of great Greek and foreign performers. The performances will be conducted by the GNO’s Artistic Director, Myron Michailidis.
